State Congress govt hiked petrol and diesel prices suddenly in Karnataka: BJP has warned of violent protests across the state

Petrol and diesel prices in Karnataka are likely to increase by Rs 3 and Rs 3.05 respectively as the state government has revised sales tax to 29.84% and 18.44% respectively.

There has been a lot of outrage on social media on this and the opposition BJP has taken the state Congress party to task.

Petrol price per litre. ₹ 3 per liter and diesel price by ₹ 3.50 per liter suddenly increased by the state Congress government.

If you really care about the poor, withdraw the price hike order immediately or else be prepared to face violent protests across the state." warns BJP.

Karnataka BJP leader BY Vijayendra says, "We will stage protest across the state in all district centres and other places on Monday if CM & the government do not take back the decision of price hike of petrol and diesel. I demand them to roll back the fuel price hike decision."
