In Karnataka, protests were held by BJP across the state, alleging that the Congress government had raised the price of oil and burdened the common people. The BJP protested the increase in the price of petrol and diesel by mounting a cycle and a bullock cart.

Massive protest across the state of the state Congress government, which is pushing the people of the country to further hardship through unlimited price hike!

Protests were held today in district and taluk centers by blocking roads to protest against the rise in prices of essential commodities including petrol-diesel and condemning the anti-people policies of the state Congress government.

Speaking during the protest, BJP leader CT. Ravi said, "It is going to make life difficult for the people by increasing the prices. It is going to increase all the prices. Our fight is against the anti-people policy, the dictatorial policy, which does not allow the public to go on a cycle. We will fight inside and outside the assembly until this anti-people policy is withdrawn. This government is behaving anti-people by increasing the current rate, increasing the price of water, increasing electricity. Our fight against anti-people policy", he said. Later he was arrested by the police.

B.Y. Vijayendra says, "From the last couple of days, BJP has been protesting against the state government's decision of increase in taxes on petrol and diesel...BJP is protesting across the state but even today, the government has not changed its decision. BJP is demanding that the CM has to roll back his decision...But the state government is continuing with the decision that has already been taken. BJP is not going to be quiet, even today we have organised 'Rasta roko' across the state...We are taking out Cycle Yatra in Bengaluru..."
