Suspicious of his wife, the husband shot and killed his wife

The incident took place in Cherala Srimangala of the district where the husband, who was suspicious of his wife, shot and killed her at night.

Battira Gopal alias Kishan (53) of Chettally was fighting with his wife Shashma (34) when he was shot in the chest with a solitary cow.

He called his son Nidhi and wife's sister Shubha and wife's family members in Bangalore after telling the story that his wife had committed suicide. Suspicious about Shashma's death, the villagers lodged a complaint with the Chettahalli police sub-station last night.

Madikeri Rural Police are visiting the place and conducting an investigation. The husband accused of murdering his wife was arrested and the incident took place in Madikeri Rural Police Station.
