A bus carrying 40 passengers lost control and fell into a ditch

The incident took place at Kavadi turn near Ammati in Virajpet taluk of the district when the transport bus overturned after the driver lost control.

The bus belonging to Hassan depot was going to Hassan from Ernakulam in Kerala state via Virajpet in Kodagu. There were about 40 to 50 passengers in the bus. An accident occurred in the wee hours of the morning. It is said that the accident occurred due to thick fog.

40 people including the driver sustained minor injuries. Fortunately, everyone escaped unhurt. The injured have been admitted to Virajpet Hospital and are being treated. Virajpet rural police have registered a case regarding the incident.
