Belgal Veeranna passed away

In a horrific road accident, international puppet artist Nadoja Belagallu Veeranna's car lost control and overturned near Challakere in Chitradurga district.

Senior theater artist Nadoja Belagallu Veeranna died in the incident. Many dignitaries, including stage artists, members of the Gomba art troupe, including the Chief Minister, have condoled the death of Belagallu Veeranna.

Belagallu Veeranna's son Hanumanthappa also got injured in this accident. He is being treated at a local hospital.

Nadoja Belagallu Veeranna, who performed puppet shows in different countries including America, has passed away. Belagallu Veeranna Nadoja Award, based in Bellary, has received many awards and accolades.

Chief Minister Basavaraja Bommai was deeply saddened to hear the news that famous theater and folk artist Nadoja Belagallu Veeranna, who gave a new touch to the folk art of leather puppetry and created a new glory, passed away in a road accident. May the soul of the deceased rest in peace. He expressed his condolence praying that God blesses his family with the strength to bear the loss.
