Man dies after falling from flyover while trying to escape from police

The incident took place late on Saturday night when a social worker who was facing charges of registering a deed of purchase of property by creating fake documents, jumped off the bridge while being called by the police for questioning.
Harish Halli (34) died. Harish Halli, who was wanted in a case, was taken into custody by the police and brought in a jeep through a bridge near Golohunase in Davangere. It is said that Harish jumped from the flyover to escape from the police at around 2.30 pm.
At this time, Harish was seriously injured. He was admitted to a hospital in Davangere and treated. Harish Halli (40), who was receiving treatment for a few days, today came to know that he died without treatment.
Harish's family members have accused the police of being responsible for his death. Harish Halli's wife has complained against the SI and two constables that the police killed her husband.
