B.K. Hariprasad appointed as KPCC President

Senior Congress leader B.K. Hariprasad has been appointed as KPCC President. Prior to this, the position was held by D.K. Shivakumar, who was the Deputy Chief Minister, and now that he has ascended to the position of Chief Minister, B.K. Hariprasad has been appointed as KPCC President.

Earlier, the name of Satish Jarkiholi, who was recognized in former CM Siddaramaiah's tenure, was frequently mentioned for the KPCC President position, but in the changed political scenario, the name of B.K. Hariprasad has been finalized.

B.K. Hariprasad, who is a member of the Legislative Council, has previously been prominent in national politics and has been a member of the Rajya Sabha several times.

B.K. Hariprasad has said that, "I am a person of the Congress party, not a government official. This is not the first time; for 53 years, I have been a part of the Congress party, working at all levels and holding various positions. He will continue to do more work while maintaining the trust that the senior Congress leaders have placed in him.
